1. Float Level Sensing
A series of reed switches vertically oriented within a long tube along with
a floating magnet and float-type limit switches provide a sensing system
used to detect the level of fluid in a tank.

2. Speed Sensing
Back-biased Hall Effect sensors are used to detect the speed of a rotating
gear by sensing the change in magnetic field when individual teeth on
the gear pass by the sensors.

3. Rotary Hall Effect Sensors
A throttle position sensor consisting of a rotary Hall Effect sensor and
magnet is used to detect the position of the throttle in an automotive
system. In general, rotary Hall Effect sensors are used to detect rotation
of a part based on a changing magnetic field.
